Bono and Brangelina take on Africa
U.S. actress Angelina Jolie, center, and her companion U.S. actor Brad Pitt, left, sit with Irish rock musician Bono during a meeting entitled 'Next Steps for Africa' at the World Economic Forum. Microsoft Corp. chairman and co-founder Bill Gates said Friday that his charitable foundation will triple its funding for tuberculosis eradication from US$300 million to US$900 million by 2015. The effort is part of a larger campaign announced at the World Economic Forum to stop tuberculosis worldwide. The disease claimed 1.6 million lives in 2005.It's Day 3 at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. Angelina Jolie sat on the board for the sessiion 'Human Rights: Reduced to Charity?'.
